Michael Shirley is a hybrid Creative Director, crossing seamlessly from traditional advertising, to digital, and everything else in between. His curiosity and passion for technology are at the heart of his work and have led him to be among the most innovative creatives in the industry.
Michael, who began his career in design, has a unique and diverse skillset. He brings sharp design, creative and digital skills together to create talk-worthy ideas, tell stories, and create cutting-edge campaigns and experiences that build brands. Most recently, Michael has been the lead on two major new mobile phone launches for both LG and ZTE, and was also the lead of the creative team behind the National Safety Council’s Prescribed to Death campaign, combatting the growing US Opioid Epidemic which was featured at the Whitehouse.
During his career, Michael has led digital groups, help start small agencies and run creative for clients including Samsung, Playstation, Nike, Kmart, Joe Boxer, KFC, McDonalds, Sprint, Jim Beam brands and more, earning him top accolades at Cannes, Oneshow, D&AD, FWA, Effies, and most recently a coveted Designism Cube from ADC, the single award annually given for best in discipline in the Design for Good category.
