Not only do I now have a blog, but I’m also considering purchasing a Linux machine and running Ubuntu. I did the calculation which showed me that I could build a machine for under $1000 that would be comparable to a $7000 Apple.
I’m getting to a point where I’m getting over OSX and have been over windows for a very long time. I love the philosophy of the Linux open sources systems. Ubuntu for example is African for: “humanity toward others”, “we are people because of other people”, or “I am who I am because of who we all are”.
Here is an IBM spot for Linux that I found inspiring.
The operating system is free. The programs are free. You become free. I love that its so open to exploration, freedom and knowledge.
Here is an example of the desktop customization, imagine the productivity. I can’t remember what blog I found the following video on but they provided a lovely disclaimer. (Note: Over-the-top thrash metal not included)
