Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence
The Unforgotten
About the Project
In a partnership with the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence we created powerful statues to help represent the victims of gun violence so that they will never be forgotten, they are even wearing the real victim's clothing.
To tell the story deeper and connect physical to digital, I came up with a mobile application that used visual markers, similar to augmented reality, to recognize the nametags on the statues. Once the camera recognized the nametag it launched a video featuring a series of haunting memories from that person's life we lost. People could then pay visit to the website, read the full story and then take action by signing a petition.
